This project is to be constructed in three phases. Phase One will consist of the Freshman Center and Fine Arts Building. Phase Two will be the High School Building and Phase Three is the Multipurpose Stadium. The three phases are scheduled to be completed by Spring of 2008.
The design of the building foundations required a slab-on-grade floor system supported by straight-sided drilled shafts as deep as 30 feet below grade. The walls of the buildings are composed of CMU block with brick veneers. The paving design called for concrete surfaces with lime treated subgrades.
The testing program for this project includes soil sampling, observation and testing, drilled shaft observation, reinforcing steel observation, concrete testing and observation, masonry testing and visual and ultrasonic testing for structural steel.
