CMT Project Manager

AGG is looking for a motivated individual to fill full-time CMT Project Manager positions for our Construction Materials Testing Department in our Dallas, Houston and Frisco offices.

 

Duties:

The essential duties for this job include:

  • Prepares scope and manages budget and time/cost estimates.

  • Consults with Project Engineers, and contractors' superintendents on work progress and construction problems.

  • Directs, develops, and evaluates projects using accepted project management methodologies.

  • Ability to read plans, specifications and interpret test results.

  • Assists management in determining number of technicians needed on assigned projects.

  • Attends pre-construction meetings and answers questions from contractors and other attendees.

  • Observes and inspects ongoing construction work.

  • Resolves differences in interpretation of plans and specifications.

  • Exhibits high standard of personal conduct, accountability, and appearance. Complies with company policies and procedures

  • Serves as a lead worker or project leader.

  • Communicate effectively

  • Laboratory Testing Procedures in soil, concrete and asphalt

  • Follow applicable safety standards, practices and procedures

  • Project scheduling and coordination activities

  • Project management theories and practices applicable to highly complex projects

  • Leading, assigning, reviewing and monitoring the work of others

  • Operating computers and applicable computer software

  • Knowledge of techniques, skills, equipment, procedures, and materials.

  • Plan work and to go ahead with a task without being told every detail, and the ability to independently identify ways to improve processes and/or products.

  • Effectively expressing oneself verbally and in writing. The ability to exchange ideas and information effectively. Understand, follow, and implement instructions.

 

Education

This job requires the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline or 6 years’ experience in related field

 

Work Experience

This job requires the following:

  • 4 years in construction project management; project management, process engineering or business process improvement methodologies (Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time equivalent)

  • 2 years in Laboratory work, material inspection or other eng-related activities

  • Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time equivalent

  • Related College education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.

The following Licenses and/or Certifications are required for this job:

  • PMP preferred

  • Valid Driver License
